Fir tree honey is known as a honeydew, because it is from the sap and resin of the tree not from flower nectar.
Taste: Vanilla Fir Honey is a thick, earthy honey, which has a flavor with notes of vanilla and caramel.
Color: Light when liquid, with pearl or caramel hues.
Where it comes from: The fir forests of Mount Mainalo in the Peloponnese, in the Arcadia region, nowhere else in the world. There grows the rare black fir, at an altitude of almost 2000 meters.
